Mark is the newest member to The Richmond Group’s Banking practice, but he’s by no means new to recruiting or Banking. In fact, he spent his last 11 yrs. Working for a growing regional bank headquartered in Richmond and a national bank wanting to know what’s in your wallet.
Mark quickly adapts to new industries and challenges, having worked previously in the Manufacturing, Retail & Architectural Engineering & Planning industries. He estimates hiring or placing well over 2,500 people over the course of his career. He’s recruited and placed everything from Alluvial Fan Flood Plain Specialists, Archaeologists, Environmental Engineers, Imagery Analysts, Strategic Sourcing Analysts, Data Warehouse Architects, Attorneys, Accountants, Programmers…and more recently C&I/CRE Relationship Managers, Treasury Management Officers, Business Banking Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers and Digital Product Managers Owners to name a few. Mark says Recruiting is Recruiting — it’s all about gaining a deep understanding of the client’s requirements and drilling down on what the ideal candidate looks like. Then, he just does what he does best.
“I started my career working for search firms before becoming a Corporate Recruiter working for several Fortune 500 companies. I’ve gone back to my roots and am thrilled to do so. What motivates me is watching those I hire or place grow professionally and achieve their professional goals. Many people I placed decades ago continue to reach out to me for advice, which I consider a high compliment. In addition, I constantly reach out to my hiring managers/clients and ask them how are Joe and Susie doing? It’s personally rewarding to hear that they are knocking it out of the park and exceeding expectations. That confirms I’ve done what I said I would do.”
If you are interested in learning more about opportunities The Richmond Group USA is searching for in the banking industry or would just like to connect with Mark for the future, he’d love to hear from you.
